Eligibility :




To be eligible for this certification, the candidate must meet the following educational and professional experience requirements:
● Secondary degree - 40 months of project scheduling experience within the last 5 years AND 40 hours of project scheduling education OR
● Four-year degree - 28 months of project scheduling experience within the last 5 years AND 30 hours of project scheduling education




There are no formal prerequisites required for this certification

Exam Information

The PMI-SP certification examination is comprised of 170 multiple-choice questions. Of the 170 questions, 20 are considered pretest questions. Pretest questions do not affect the score and are used in examinations as an effective and legitimate way to test the validity of future examination questions.

PMI-SP certification exams can now be taken via Center-based testing (CBT) or Online testing (OPT).

The candidate can take the exam up to 3 times within one year from their application approval date. If the candidate fails the examination three times within the one-year eligibility period, then they must wait one year from the date of the last examination they took to reapply for the credential. **If your eligibility period expires without you passing the examination, you must reapply for the certification.

PMI-SP Certification is valid for 3 years from the date certified.
